The ideal profile

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Contract Administration 
    Administer and monitor project contracts in accordance with contractual obligations and project requirements. 
    Review and interpret contract conditions, specifications, and contractual obligations. 
    Identify contractual risks and provide practical mitigation measures. 
    Ensure proper implementation of contract provisions across all project activities. 
    Maintain proper records of contractual documents, notices, and communications. 

  • Contractual Correspondence 
    Draft, review, and supervise all contractual letters submitted to Clients, Consultants, and subcontractors. 
    Ensure all project correspondence is contractually compliant and issued within contractual timelines. 
    Follow up on pending contractual matters and maintain correspondence registers. 
    Coordinate with technical, planning, procurement, and site teams for supporting documents and substantiation. 

  • Claims & Dispute Management 
    Prepare, evaluate, and manage Extension of Time (EOT) claims, disruption claims, prolongation claims, and additional cost claims. 
    Analyze project events and assess contractual entitlement. 
    Prepare claim notices, detailed particulars, and supporting documentation. 
    Assist management in dispute avoidance and dispute resolution processes. 
    Coordinate with legal advisors when required. 

  • Variations & Change Management 
    Manage variation orders, change requests, and additional work instructions. 
    Evaluate contractual and commercial impact of project changes. 
    Prepare and negotiate variation submissions with Clients and Engineers. 
    Track approval status and ensure proper commercial recovery. 

  • Subcontractor Management 
    Draft, review, and administer subcontract agreements. 
    Ensure subcontract terms are aligned with main contract obligations. 
    Monitor subcontractor compliance with contractual requirements. 
    Evaluate subcontractor claims, variations, and payment-related issues. 
    Support project teams in subcontractor negotiations and dispute resolution. 

  • Commercial & Risk Support 
    Support project commercial performance and cost recovery. 
    Identify potential commercial opportunities and risks. 
    Participate in project progress meetings and contractual discussions. 
    Provide contractual advice to project management and operational teams. 
    Assist in preparation of management reports and contractual dashboards. 

  • Compliance & Governance 
    Ensure compliance with Egyptian laws, contractual procedures, and company policies. Maintain confidentiality of contractual and commercial information. 
    Support implementation of document control and contractual governance procedures. 

 

Job Requirements

  • management within construction, infrastructure or railway projects. Or a similar role. 
    FIDIC-based contracts experience. 
    Railway or transportation projects experience is highly preferred. 
    Claims preparation, contract administration, and subcontract management.
