The NGE adventure

As part of the development of a major railway infrastructure project in Abu Dhabi, we are looking for an experienced Track Construction Manager to lead and coordinate all track construction activities on the project.

Reporting to the Project Management team, the Track Construction Manager will be responsible for the overall delivery of the track works, ensuring compliance with project requirements in terms of safety, quality, schedule, cost and technical performance.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all track construction activities throughout the project.
- Define and implement the track construction strategy, methods and sequencing.
- Manage site teams, subcontractors and construction resources.
- Coordinate track works with other railway and civil disciplines, including civil works, structures, systems, catenary and logistics.
- Monitor construction progress and ensure achievement of key project milestones.
- Ensure compliance with HSE, quality and technical requirements.
- Anticipate construction risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Planning, Procurement and Project Management teams.
- Participate in construction planning, resource allocation and productivity monitoring.
- Report on progress, major risks and key construction issues to Project Management.

The ideal profile

Engineering degree or equivalent technical background.
Significant experience in railway track construction on major infrastructure projects.
Mandatory: previous experience as Construction Director, Construction Manager or equivalent senior construction position on a major High-Speed Rail project.
Strong knowledge of track construction methods, organization, logistics and interfaces.
Proven experience managing large multicultural construction teams and subcontractors.
Strong leadership, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a complex, fast-paced international project environment.
Previous experience in the Middle East would be an advantage.
Professional proficiency in English is required.
